Did you know that bourbon is America’s official native spirit? Signed into law in 1964 by President Lyndon Johnson, bourbon’s history is uniquely woven into the fabric of America’s history. Participants enjoyed an introduction and overview of bourbon, with highlights of major events and the memorable people behind some of the famous brands. They enjoyed several fine bourbons, and learned the proper way to sip, smell and taste this unique and popular spirit.

Michael Kutner is the founder of DistilledLeadership.com, a leadership coaching and consulting company based in Bensalem, PA, that helps business professionals lead more effectively so they can live more satisfying lives. Michael is an Adjunct Master Bourbon Taster and Instructor with Whiskey University in Columbia, TN. In 2019, he was awarded the Certified Executive Bourbon Steward designation. Michael is also a Kentucky Colonel, and Tennessee Squire, the highest honors bestowed by the Governor of those states to those who have contributed positively to the community and welfare of the citizens of Kentucky and Tennessee. Michael takes great pride hosting private tastings for his Pennsylvania and New Jersey friends, and introducing them to the culture, history and fun of America’s official native spirit.
