Join Penn’s Village members and others for a 12-mile cruise down the Schuylkill and up the Delaware Rivers on an all-wood 1920’s commuter-style yacht with ample seating and standing areas. A seasoned crew of two will answer your questions along the way as we pass Bartram’s Garden, the Schuylkill River trail, South Philly’s industrial area, the Navy Yard District, and ships including the John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier and the SS United StatesTripAdvisor Traveler Rating as of June 2024 ranked this the #1 of 19 boat tour and water sports in Philadelphia, and last year’s Penn’s Village outing was a great success!

Some other things to note about the cruise:

·      Soft drinks, beer, wine, mixed drinks, and chips available for purchase on board. You may bring your own food, but not your own beverages.

·      The cruise will happen rain or shine, unless there is extreme weather – which has been happening on average only once a year.  In the case of heavy rain, there are roll down windows and a roof over 75% of the deck.

·      There is a small but clean restroom or “head” on board.

·      Flat soled shoes are best on a boat. Otherwise, dress for the weather. You might want to bring a jacket if it’s rainy or windy, as the temperature on the river is cooler than in the city.

·      Please NOTE: The yacht is not handicapped-accessible.  Smoking, vaping, and dogs (except for service dogs) are not allowed on the cruise.  Children are allowed.

Patriot Harbor Lines has operated cruises on the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers since 2013.  Crew members may point out historically significant attractions along the rivers.
