Reception and Exhibition at Drexel Recognizes LGBTQ+ Contributions

An exhibition presented by the Stonewall National Museum Archives & Library is opening this week in the URBN Center lobby of the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design at Drexel University from April 16 - April 24th, Monday through Friday, from 10am - 4pm. The opening reception and celebration will be held on Wednesday April 17 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.

"Standing on the Shoulders of Heroes" is a constantly growing exhibit that introduces us to those in our community who have made a recognizable difference in the lives of people within the LGBTQ+ community. Some changed the cultural landscape, others politics, and yet others our daily lives. All deserve to be celebrated.

"Never Silent" looks at the juxtaposition between those events, individuals, and the realities we face. Some are positive, some, like banning books, are harmful and dangerous, while speaking and coming out can save lives. Based on history, are we moving in the right direction?

You can RSVP for the reception here: Event Brite RSVP
