We all tend to worry about cognitive decline as we age, but there are things we can do to strengthen our brains and slow the decline.  Join us for this presentation and learn how to keep your mind sharp as you age.  You will better understand what is normal forgetfulness and what are issues you should be concerned about, while learning the latest tips based on current science to keep your brain as healthy as possible.

 

Dr. Monika Downey is the Senior Director of Behavioral Health at Patina Health. Dr. Downey earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University and also holds a master’s degree in psychopharmacology from Alliant University. She is dedicated to helping adults over 65 age well. She has done extensive neuropsychological testing for memory and other brain related disorders and looks forward to sharing how you can keep your brain as healthy as possible as you get older.

This will be an online event hosted via Zoom Conferencing. You do not need a Zoom account but you will need to download and install the Zoom app on your computer or mobile device to join the event. Please email us at tech@pennsvillage.org in advance if you need assistance installing the Zoom app or check our new Zoom Instructions. If you cannot join the event using your computer or mobile device and the Zoom app, you can join the event via teleconference and hear the audio portion.
 
You will receive an email a few days before the event as well as on the day of the event with a link to the meeting, the Meeting ID, call-in telephone numbers and instructions for joining the meeting.

This program is free of charge to our members and volunteer partners.  Non-member guests are welcome to attend up to three programs before being required to join and/or volunteer with Penn’s Village, or pay $10 per additional program.
