You Might Find This Interesting

Penn's Village has been meeting with local representatives of AARP to talk about working together in various capacities.  One of the things that AARP is involved with is making accessory dwelling units (ADUs) more accessible to residents of the City of Philadelphia. An ADU is a small, self-contained home with its own kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area, located on the same lot as a main (or ‘primary’) house.  ADUs can be created through basement or garage conversions, additions, or new construction in the back or side yard.  AARP believes that ADUs can address many of Philadelphia’s housing challenges.
