Dementia is a general term for loss of memory, language, problem-solving and other thinking abilities that are severe enough to interfere with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia. In this session, participants will hear from the Alzheimer's Association and learn about some of the common triggers for behaviors associated with dementia, how to assess the person’s needs, and how to intervene effectively. Whether you provide daily care, participate in decision-making or simply care about someone with the disease, help and support are available.
