Skin Cancer: Awareness and Screening (P)

Skin Cancer

In recognition of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, please join us for a short educational presentation and free skin cancer screening in May. Dr. Mark Abdelmalek and Dr. Shoshana Grossman of Dermatology of Philadelphia will provide a 5 minute basic skincancer screening for each participant. This will include a check of any concerning  skin issues you may have, including any change in color, shape, border, or size of your moles. It will not be a full body skin exam and is meant only to notify you if you should pursue further dermatologic care.

Dr. Mark Abdelmalek is a highly regarded skin cancer surgeon and ABC News reporter.  He is dual board certified in Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and Dermatology and the founder of Dermatology of Philadelphia|Mohs Surgery Center which opened in Philadelphia in 2020. Dr. Mark is also an adjunct Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shoshana Grossman joined Dermatology of Philadelphia in August 2021. Dr. Grossman is a board certified dermatologist and practices general, complex medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

She attended the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, where she graduated with distinction and was awarded the 2017 Excellence in Dermatology award.
