Fall Prevention: A Matter of Balance
It’s no secret that older adults are more likely to fall than younger people; they also suffer more serious injuries as a result. This fall prevention program will define balance and its components (it’s harder than you think!), describe the assessments that are available to judge your risk, and discuss steps you can take to improve your balance and reduce your risk of falling. There will be a question and answer session, and participants will have the opportunity to sign up for individual, pro-bono assessments after the program.
