Penn’s Village Celebrates Pride Reads!
In honor of Pride Month and the significant contributions of LGBTQ+ writers in arts and culture, please join Penn’s Village for a selection of readings chosen by our members. Pieces will include:
· “Understanding Issues Facing LGBTQ+ Adults” by SAGE: Advocacy and Services for LGBTQ+ Elders (Mark Raymond)
· “On Choosing Happiness” by Genevieve Wicks (Patricia Nemirovsky Alsina)
· “7 Coming Out Stories” from the Harvard Business School Pride Club (Brian Wengenroth)
· A Selection of Poems by Mary Oliver (Judith Sachs)
· A Selection of Writing by Mark Doty (John Erickson)
We hope you will join us to celebrate our LGBTQ+ members and all they do to help Penn’s Village “connect, engage and thrive!”
This will be an online event hosted via Zoom Conferencing
. You do not need a Zoom account but you will need to download and install the Zoom app on your computer or mobile device to join the event. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
in advance if you need assistance installing the Zoom app. If you cannot join the event using your computer or mobile device and the Zoom app, you can join the event via teleconference and hear the audio portion. You will receive an email a day or so before the event with a link to the meeting, the Meeting ID, call-in telephone numbers and instructions for joining the meeting.
