Be afraid, be very afraid!

Turn out the lights, dress up in your scariest costume, and enjoy this reading of a British horror classic.

The short story involves Mr. and Mrs. White and their adult son, Herbert. One night, Sergeant-Major Morris, a friend who served with the British Army in India, comes by for dinner and introduces them to a mummified monkey's paw. Morris warns that while a spell on the paw will grant three wishes, there will be hellish consequences as punishment for tampering with fate…

This will be an online event hosted via Zoom Conferencing. You do not need a Zoom account but you will need to download and install the Zoom app on your computer or mobile device to join the event. Please email us at in advance if you need assistance installing the Zoom app or check our new Zoom Instructions. If you cannot join the event using your computer or mobile device and the Zoom app, you can join the event via teleconference and hear the audio portion. You will receive an email a day or so before the event with a link to the meeting, the Meeting ID, call-in telephone numbers and instructions for joining the meeting.
