Immunizations for Seniors With Special Guest Dr. Vicki Bralow

August 05, 2020

One of the best means of preventing disease is through immunizations. This is especially true for seniors, as our immune systems become less potent and resilient as we age, and because we become at higher risk for some vaccine-preventable diseases.

Dr. Vicki Bralow focused on the vaccines that help prevent flu, pneumonia, shingles, Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) and Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td), and included information on which vaccines are covered by Medicare Part B.

She also talked about the vaccines that are advised for persons living with seniors, in order to better protect them.

Dr. Vicki Bralow, DO, is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, board certified in Family Practice, and affiliated with both the Pennsylvania Hospital and the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She practiced primary care in Philadelphia for 30 years, and then aligned herself with MD Value in Prevention (MDVIP) in order to spend more time with her patients.

She graduated from and did her internship with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by residency at Metropolitan Central Hospital. She was named a “Top Doc” by Philadelphia Magazine in 2018.
