It’s That Time Again… The Do’s and Don’ts of Open Enrollment

Before you get completed inundated by endless commercials, phone calls and Internet messages, find out from our panel of experts what you really need to know about Open Enrollment this year.

What’s new and what’s changed? How do you avoid misinformation and scams? What should you ask if you’re looking for a new provider?

Kathryn Fodor has been a Medicare certified counselor for the PA Medicare Decision and Insight (PA MEDI) for the last four years. After coming to the U.S. from Hungary at the age of nine, she graduated from Fordham University and worked in the life and health insurance industry for over 40 years, most recently as a Product Manager at the AARP Medicare Supplement division of United Healthcare.

Dan Milloy is the Outreach and Engagement Supervisor for the Senior Medicare Patrol at CARIE (Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of Elders, where he has worked on Medicare fraud prevention for the last four years. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University (B.S.) and Saint Joseph’s University (M.S.), Dan has utilized his healthcare administration coursework and subsequent experience to improve the well-being of older adults across Pennsylvania.

Dr. Neil Patel, Chief Health Officer of Patina Health, started Iora Health, an innovator in primary care, prior to joining Patina. Before that, he started the Atlantic City Special Care Center, specializing in the most complex and costly patients from the Local 54 hotel workers union with the AtlantiCare health system. The Special Care Center provided early proof that developing continuous healing relationships could improve patient care and decrease healthcare costs.
