Understanding Age-Related Changes in Thinking Skills to Optimize Everyday Functioning

Have trouble finding your reading glasses? Ever walk into a room in your house and wonder to yourself, "What am I doing here?"



This talk covered the changes in memory and thinking skills across the lifespan and how these changes affect everyday life. Strategies to reduce the impact of memory failures on daily living, and the differences between typical and more concerning memory problems were reviewed.

Our speaker is Tania Giovannetti, Ph.D. Dr. Giovannetti is a licensed clinical psychologist Board-certified in clinical neuropsychology, Professor of Psychology, and principal investigator of the Clinical Neuropsychology Laboratory at Temple University. Her research aims to apply basic research in cognitive neuroscience to improving everyday functioning in people with cognitive difficulties.
