This Week at Penn's Village: May 18, 2026
| Save the Date!
With gratitude for all who give their time and spirit, we hope you'll join us for a volunteer appreciation garden party. Whether you've been volunteering, are connected to our community, or simply wish to spend time with others, we can't wait to see you. It will be held on June 10 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Old Pine Community Center.
And if you are a baker...
We would love for you to bring a dozen of your favorite homemade treats—cookies, bars, or any sweet or savory snack—to share at our Garden Party on Wednesday, June 10th at Old Pine Community Center from 4 to 6 pm. If you’re able, please also bring along a copy of the recipe you used. After the event, we’ll compile and share the recipes with everyone so we can all enjoy the favorites again at home. If you plan to bring something, please let us know by emailing operations@pennsvillage.org so we can keep track and plan accordingly. We can’t wait to taste what you create and enjoy a lovely afternoon together in the garden!
| | Picture Frames Needed
Penn’s Village is looking for donations of picture frames. If you have any tabletop frames (no larger than 8 x 11) that you no longer use, we would be grateful if you could bring them to the office the next time you’re here for a program. They will NOT be returned, so please share only those that you are ready to give away. Thank you!
| | | New Blog Post
Having trouble letting go of clothes even though they haven’t seen the light of day in years? You’re not alone. The change of seasons is a good time to revisit what we own, but it can stir up all kinds of feelings: nostalgia, guilt, hope, “just in case” thinking, and the classic “I might fit into this again someday.” Check out our new blog post on letting go:
