Curious about AI but not sure where to begin? Join this relaxed, hands-on one-hour workshop for a friendly introduction to generative artificial intelligence (AI)—the technology behind tools that can write, summarize, brainstorm, create images, and help with everyday tasks. We’ll explore simple, useful examples, share a few laughs about what AI gets wrong, and practice asking questions in plain language. You’ll also learn the “smart and safe” side of AI: what information to keep private, how to check a tool’s privacy settings, and how to find out whether your conversations may be saved or used to improve or train the model. No technical experience is needed—just bring your questions and your curiosity. The goal is to leave feeling more comfortable, capable, and in control.
