Come with an open mind and an empty stomach!
The Southeast Asian Market in FDR Park is a community of refugees and immigrant members who have called the Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) Park, their home since the 1980’s. For 35+ years they have cultivated an open community space all their own, providing a cultural hub for social gatherings, sharing of ethnic cuisines and business opportunities through vending.
At the market you can enjoy many native cuisine dishes, culturally specific produce, plants, clothing and jewelry, as well as services provided by entrepreneurs speaking multiple languages.
Bring a shopping bag so you can take purchases home.
Be prepared to walk / stand throughout the tour. There are a few picnic tables, but you might bring a blanket to sit on the grass.
If it rains, we’ll have to cancel and refund your registration fee – and plan to do the tour when it re-opens late next spring.
Personal cancellations are allowed and encouraged so others can attend, but the ticket price will not be refunded per PV policy.
Ticket price $40 per person, capped at 10 people.
**ticket price includes a complimentary tote bag!
