Contentious relationship between Paul Marseul, the owner of a prestigious vineyard in Saint Emilion and his son who works with him on the family estate. Paul is a demanding and passionate wine-maker, a domineering father who has no faith in his son to take over his vineyard. He dreams of a more talented successor.
