Judith Sachs and Polly MacIntyre will perform “Weddings and Wives, Natural and Supernatural Stories,” dramatic book readings to entertain and amuse you.  Specifically, Ms. MacIntyre will read selections from “Getting It Right” by Maeve Binchy, while Ms. Sachs will read “Exposed: Confessions of a Wedding Photographer” by Claire Lewis.  Together, they will perform a scene from “Blithe Spirit” by Noel Coward. Join us for an afternoon of great writing and acting!

Polly MacIntyre started acting in Houston,Texas during the1980s, eventually becoming a company member at Main Street Theater. In Philadelphia, she created “Belles of Dublin,” an evening of Irish theatre and music.  She toured its solo offshoot, “She Moved Through the Fair,” to D.C., Houston, and Chicago.  Polly’s film work includes “Bob and the Trees,” which won the Grand Prize at the Karlovy Vary Festival and “Down With the King,” which premiered recently at Cannes and won the Grand Prix at the Deauville Film Festival (vive la France!). For the last year, she has been invited to read short stories for the Lewes Delaware Library's Story Reading for Adults program as well as for another Zoom group, Women4Women.

Judith Sachs started acting and dancing in New York City in the 1960s. After becoming a member of Morris Carnovsky’s new theater company at Brandeis University, she went on to perform in summer stock. She spent a year at the Hartford Stage Company in Connecticut and then returned to New York. Her dance career started up again when she was 65 and became certified as a Dance for Parkinson’s teacher.
