Cremation: What Are Your Options?


While this topic may be challenging for some, it’s important for people to make their end of life wishes known and for families to be able to honor them.

The program will focus on cremation from the perspective of a Funeral Director and Pre-planning Counselor. It will help survivors understand what their options are when cremation is chosen by a loved one. We will learn about the general logistics after a death has occurred, how pre-planning can benefit survivors, and services available for families who choose cremation.

Melanie Siano is representing the Cremation Society of Philadelphia. She is a licensed Funeral Director in New Jersey, a National Funeral Directors Association-Certified Pre-planning Consultant, and a New Jersey and Pennsylvania Licensed Insurance Agent. The Cremation Society of Philadelphia offers services to those who are seeking to meet their own or loved ones’ final wishes in a caring and compassionate way.

This will be an online event hosted via Zoom Conferencing. You do not need a Zoom account but you will need to download and install the Zoom app on your computer or mobile device to join the event. Please email us at info@pennsvillage.org in advance if you need assistance installing the Zoom app. If you cannot join the event using your computer or mobile device and the Zoom app, you can join the event via teleconference and hear the audio portion. You will receive an email a day or so before the event with a link to the meeting, the Meeting ID, call-in telephone numbers and instructions for joining the meeting.
