The Lie That Invented Racism

“What’s up with us White folks?” This will be a discussion following the viewing of the TED Talk “The Lie That Invented Racism” by John Biewen, a journalist and the Audio Program Director for The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. Biewen starts his TED Talk by asking that question, and we will explore it more amongst ourselves during the discussion.

Kim Pearson is Associate Professor of Journalism at The College of New Jersey and co-founder of TCNJ’s Interactive Multimedia Department. Mike Pulsifer has served as a Presbyterian minister for 53 years. He is now retired and serving on a part-time voluntary basis as Pastor for Outreach at the Arch Street Presbyterian Church in Center City Philadelphia.
